Met's Machine Shop opened
approximately 50 years ago in downtown Mansfield as a parts store and
machine shop. Butch started working for them as a machinist in 1983. In
1985 he took over as the manager/machinist for Met's with four other
machinists under his management. In 1998 Butch purchased the
machine shop portion of the business. In 2004 Butch moved Met's to a new
building located on the north side of Mansfield.
Since the move, we have expanded our showroom, shop space, and
workforce. We keep updating and expanding our equipment, to keep our
quality high. Our specialty is rebuilding engines in all aspects. We

Smoke and Garden Kohlers.

in house, now with 8 machinists and 1 counterman. We can do nearly
anything when it comes to rebuilding or custom building your engines.
